The President's Christmas Day Wine Box is
worthy of the finest table in the land, with six
wines from some of the world's greatest
appellations.
Begin with Champagne Moët & Chandon,
then a finely tuned Sancerre and a Premier
Cru Chablis from Beauroy. For the reds, we
head to Pauillac, to a vineyard beside
Château Mouton Rothschild that is now
owned by Mouton themselves. Since 2020
this wine has gone into Mouton's grand vin,
yet at €65 a bottle it's around 18.5 times
cheaper than Mouton itself. We don't believe
Mouton is 18.5 times better!
Next comes a 100th anniversary Rioja, silky
and beautifully soft, before a Taylor's 10 Year
Old Tawny Port brings Christmas dinner to a
magnificent close.
